Bible and Numbers

Pascale

A wonderful friend of mine, Anne Crews, has co-authored a book with Gerard Colombat titled Bible and Numbers.  Being a loyal friend who was totally exicted for Anne, but terribly numerically challenged, I bought the book...and flew through it.

Despite my 'numerical disability', and I will admit a lot of it just was over my head, I was able to see the patterns that Anne and Gerard were pointing out.  But the stuff that captured me was the main text of the book explaining what most would call co-incidences, translations between French and English (Anne is French married to an American living in Tennessee).  Upon finishing I immediately started reading again.  I am sure that one day, the 'world of numbers' will open up and I will understand the entire book.

Bible et Nombres

This links to Gerard's website.  Be warned, it is in French and he is constantly updating it.  We are now getting just so close to more trouble in the world than we ever thought possible.  And really, there is only one way out from these troubles. (Please note, the website that this link refers to is in no way connected to Gerard.)

There are some pages on Gerard's Website that are in English which I believe Anne is responsible for translating.

Hope you find it interesting.  Hope you buy the book!
What can I say about Pascale.  She's gorgeous, she's lovely and she's very. very talented...and she's Belgian!  That might not mean much to most but for some reason I love Belgian chocolate, I love Stella Artois - Belgiany beer - and you can't help but adore Pascale.  She is also a fantastic digital scrap kit designer.

I met Pascale on Scrapbook Flair, a digital scrapbooking website where she has supplied freebie digi scrapping kits to us poor 'artistically challenged' folks.  She does fantastic kits and uses colours and colour combinations that I personally wouldn't have thought of. I am just so self limiting with my colour ideas.   It must be the European blood in her!  Aside from a seemingly fairytale romance thing which seriously makes us jaded folks believe that there really is such a thing as true love, she also a Facebooker.  The image to the left btw is one I used to create a colour themed kit using colours taken from the photo of the lovely Pascale.  The wooden frame around the image is part of the kit I called Pascale's Autumn

Pascale and her husband have a website together where they share not only freebie kits but lay out designs by showing exemplars of their work.  Their home page really POPS with bright colours and truly looks like you could just pick it up as you would a regular scrapbook page.  And just check out those kits!  Fantastic and so very, very Pascale.  Check out Pascale (and David's who for a fellow is rather romantic) work at the following locations:

Raphael in CHARGE

This is a great blog by

Paul Bartlett, the father of an adorable little boy named Raphael. Raphael has CHARGE Syndrome, a genetic disorder that causes disabilities through a  specific set of birth defects.  The Blog not only details the various appointments for Raphael but gives quite a bit of detailed information on the tests etc involved when caring for a child with C.H.A.R.G.E.   Paul goes into great detail and gives indepth information on just what it has been like since Raphael was born in March of 2006.  (I hope I got that all right!)

How do I know him?  I last saw Raphael at the Taroona Baptist Christmas presentation by the church's Sunday School - I think or not long after, a couple of years ago...he has the sweetest smile and a great twinkle in his eyes. My eldest son is the same age as Raphael's older brother and their birthday's 24 hours apart.  Sorry - no pictures - I forgot to get permission.

Sharmaine Kruijver is a fun lady with an even funner blog....I know, it's supposed to read more fun but that's me and that's the way I'll stay.  She has the ability to just make life sound fun.  She also loves scrapbooking although I think it's mainly 'regular' scrapbooking - I'm not sure, I've never asked her.  And of course - she loves her family to pieces which really comes out in her humourous blog.

Her 4 Squirts and a Dollop of Cream Blog provides an easy read, with entries such as "Mum's Taxi Service", "Don't let the Sunrise Fool You" (almost sounds like a song), "Poppy had a Little Lamb" and more - generally about the delights of raising 4 girls and a husband (who has a secret name known to certain Tasmanian Soccer players)
